Clear expectations for families, students, and staff
Students are expected to wear the prescribed Al Qalam uniform on all school days. Neat presentation, correct footwear, and school ID (where issued) are part of daily discipline. Seasonal variations and PE kit requirements are shared by class teachers at the start of each term.
Regular attendance is essential for Cambridge progress. Parents should inform the school office of absences as early as possible. Late arrivals disrupt class; repeated lateness may be followed up with parents. Extended leave requires written notice to the admissions/office team.
Al Qalam expects respectful language, honesty, and Adab toward teachers and peers. Bullying, cheating, and damage to school property are taken seriously and handled through teacher guidance, parent partnership, and — where needed — formal disciplinary steps.
Where school transport is offered, routes, pickup points, and monthly charges are confirmed by the office at enrollment. Parents remain responsible for students at the designated stop. Changes to routes must be requested in writing.
Student safety is a priority. Visitors must report to the school office. Concerns about a child's welfare should be raised promptly with the Principal or designated safeguarding lead. The school partners with parents to keep the campus a safe learning environment.
Written notice is required for withdrawals. Outstanding dues must be cleared before a School Leaving Certificate is issued. Full withdrawal details are also listed on the Admissions page.
